PSG boycott LFFP awards in protest at points deduction

According to L'Équipe, PSG boycotted the LFFP awards in Paris on Monday in protest at a points deduction imposed this season. No PSG players attended, although sporting director Angelo Castellazzi was there.
The ceremony at the Pavillon Gabriel came a week after the UNFP gala. The squad were not in the mood to celebrate after their 1-0 Première Ligue semi-final defeat to Paris FC.
Captain Sakina Karchaoui, nominated for best player, was in Cannes for the festival alongside Elisa De Almeida.
The capital club have been docked 9 points for a licensing irregularity involving Florianne Jourde.
Lyon’s players were also absent as they prepare for the Champions League final on Saturday and the Première Ligue final on 29 May. The club were represented by director general Vincent Ponsot, with a training session scheduled for Tuesday morning.
