As we’ve reported in the last few days, PSG are very close to making their first major addition of the summer – Maghnes Akliouche is coming in from Monaco.

As the transfer gets closer, we’re starting to get some details on the deal from some of the top insiders. The well connected Fabrice Hawkins of RMC Sport has today given some really interesting information about the move.

Hawkins says that it’s going to be a €50m deal, with Akliouche’s primary role in the squad as a replacement for the departed Kang-in Lee.

The attacker had “several options” but always prioritised a move to PSG.

Ben Jacobs reports that PSG consider the fee a “fantastic deal” given Monaco’s initial position was that they wanted €65m plus add ons. The English reporter says that there are “only small matters to resolve” before the Frenchman is given clearance to take his medical.
