Real Madrid continue to monitor PSG midfielder Vitinha as a possible solution for their midfield challenges. Since Toni Kroos and Luka Modric left, the club has struggled to find long-term replacements.

Recently, Defensa Central reported that Real Madrid have identified four midfielders as potential summer targets while planning to add a commanding presence in the middle of the pitch.

The list is ranked by priority, with PSG’s Vitinha at the top, followed by Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton, Chelsea’s Enzo Fernández, and Manchester City’s Rodri.

Strengthening the center of the pitch will be a priority this summer. Vitinha played a key role alongside Fabian Ruiz and João Neves in PSG’s impressive 2024–25 campaign, which saw them claim Ligue 1, the UEFA Champions League, and the Coupe de France.

Still, a move to Real Madrid could challenge Vitinha’s commitment to PSG. Nonetheless, a new report reveals what Los Blancos want from the midfielder before making any move.

Despite being tied to PSG until 2029, Vitinha recently stated that he wouldn’t rule out a future move to Spain during an interview with O Jogo.

“La Liga is fantastic and suits my style of play better,” Vitinha said (h/t Le10Sport). “I would like to play there one day. But it’s difficult to set goals. You have to take things step by step.”

“I’ve already played in the Premier League, but at Wolverhampton I didn’t get as much playing time as I would have liked, especially during the Covid period, which prevented me from fully enjoying the atmosphere in the stadiums.”
