Paris Saint-Germain have opened talks with Ajax for Mika Godts, according to transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano.
PSG are looking to strengthen their attack this summer. They are on the verge of sealing the transfer of Maghnes Akliouche from AS Monaco after beating Liverpool to the Frenchman’s signature.
Godts has now emerged as the French giants’ next attacking target, but the deal may not be easy as Ajax are determined to keep the Belgian youngster.
The right-footed attacker has reportedly agreed to join PSG, following ‘direct positive talks‘ with sporting director Luis Ocampos.
Bradley Barcola is likely to leave PSG this summer after informing the club that he is not going to extend his current contract, which expires in 2028.
Liverpool are currently the frontrunners for Barcola’s signature, with the Reds expected to table their opening bid for the France international in the coming days.
Barcola’s potential departure would reduce manager Luis Enrique’s attacking options, prompting PSG to look into the market for another left winger.
Godts primarily operates on the left flank, but can also be deployed as an attacking midfielder.
The Ajax winger is renowned for his pace, close control, creativity and finishing ability, drawing comparisons with former Chelsea star Eden Hazard.
The 21-year-old enjoyed an outstanding campaign last season. He scored 17 goals and provided 15 assists in 44 games across all competitions.
Godts was voted the 2025/26 Eredivisie Talent of the Year, beating other nominees, including AZ’s Kees Smit, who has been linked with several big clubs.
Despite his immense talent, the Belgium international could find it difficult to break into PSG’s starting line-up, raising questions over whether the move would benefit his development.
