PSG open to recruiting a No.9 this summer | OneFootball

L’Équipe understands that there is the possibility of Paris Saint-Germain recruiting another No.9 this summer.

PSG won the UEFA Champions League last season, but they are looking to add to their squad further over the course of the ongoing transfer window in order to hammer home their dominance, both domestically and in Europe.

Illia Zabarnyi looks set to arrive at the club in defence and there could be additions up front, too. Luis Enrique has previously been reticent to recruit an out-and-out No.9. However, with Marco Asensio and Randal Kolo Muani definitely on their way out, and with the club open to selling Gonçalo Ramos, PSG could be short in this sector. In any case, it would leave a reliance – bordering on over-reliance – on Ousmane Dembélé. It remains to be seen whether he can hit the same heights next season.

As per a report from L’Équipe, confirmed by Get French Football News, PSG are open to signing a striker this summer. Luís Campos has a set of options in the position on standby. There could also be a reactivity to opportunities, should they arrive over the course of the summer.
