Mathis Jangeal is reportedly close to joining Portuguese club Famalicao on a free transfer, after a season where he was a star for PSG’s Under-19 team. The attacking midfielder shone in the UEFA Youth League, and attracted many suitors as his contract entered its final months. Now he’s made his decision.
Jangeal visited a number of teams around Europe to see what move would suit him next in his career. In the end, he’s chosen Portugal, following in the footsteps of his old teammate Oumar Camara, who shone for Vitoria Guimaraes in the Liga Nos after moving there a year ago.
Famalicao is very much a showcase for Jorge Mendes players, so Jangeal will get a great platform to strut his stuff there, and we’d be very surprised if he’s not moving up the ladder to bigger and better things very soon.
PSG are going to buy as well as sell this summer, and their potentially most expensive target of all sees his price rising all the time.
Randal Kolo Muani looks like a priority sale for PSG this summer, and the good news is that a Serie A team sound like they’re seriously interested in signing him.
