Barcelona’s attacking rebuild could lead to a significant departure before the summer transfer window closes, with Ferran Torres emerging as one of the players attracting serious interest from across Europe.
While much of the focus has been on the club’s pursuit of new forwards, fresh developments suggest Paris Saint-Germain are now accelerating their efforts to bring the Spanish international to France.
Transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Paris Saint-Germain have intensified talks with Ferran Torres’ representatives, although negotiations remain at an early stage and no agreement has been reached.
The update comes at a time when Barcelona are working on reshaping their frontline, leaving the former Manchester City forward facing an increasingly uncertain future at Spotify Camp Nou.
It must be remembered that PSG manager Luis Enrique knows Ferran Torres better than most, having worked closely with the forward during his time as Spain manager.

The PSG coach appreciates the 26-year-old’s tactical discipline, intelligent movement and ability to operate across all three attacking positions.
That versatility has become even more important following Gonçalo Ramos’ move to AC Milan, creating space for another forward capable at the Ligue 1 club.
Romano assures that rather than arriving as an undisputed starter, Ferran would strengthen PSG’s rotation for Ligue 1 and the Champions League.
As such, Ferran Torres and his representatives remain in active discussions with PSG, while conversations with other interested clubs are also continuing, although no final decision has been made at this stage.

Barcelona’s position has become increasingly complicated following the signing of Karim Adeyemi and the club’s continued efforts to sign Julian Alvarez.
Both moves would significantly increase competition in Flick’s attacking unit, making regular minutes more difficult to secure for Ferran.
For that reason, the Spanish forward is no longer viewed as indispensable during this transfer window.
While the club certainly appreciates his professionalism, goals and versatility, they are also aware that a substantial transfer fee could improve their financial flexibility while helping fund other priority signings.
