Paris Saint-Germain are set to try to sign Michael Olise (24) during the summer transfer window, according to reports in L’Équipe.

Although declared unsellable by his chairman, Herbert Hainer, the French forward, who is preparing to play in his first World Cup with Les Bleus, has been the subject of transfer rumours for the past few days.

Whilst Olise’s name was recently linked with Real Madrid, the time has now come for the reigning double European champions to join the fray. Based on the French daily’s report, a sense of optimism regarding the positive outcome of this deal is even said to be emanating from the Parisian management.

Having enjoyed a remarkable season with Bayern Munich, which he finished with 22 goals and 31 assists across all competitions and a domestic treble, the London-born player could still be in for a busy summer, despite a contract that runs until 2029.
