PSG ‘to consider’ Lucas Digne as competition for Nuno Mendes | OneFootball

Paris Saint-Germain are interested in Lucas Digne, with the Aston Villa left-back viewed as an option to challenge Nuno Mendes.

Daily Mail reports that the 32-year-old could return to the French capital a decade after leaving, having previously played for PSG from 2013 to 2016.

Digne is currently at the World Cup with France and has started at left-back since the knockout rounds began, leaving Théo Hernandez only 13 minutes.

He extended his Villa contract last summer and is tied to the Birmingham club until 2028, having joined from Everton in January 2022 for around €30m.

This season he produced 7 assists in 44 appearances across all competitions and lifted the Europa League with the Villans. The report described him as the ideal alternative to Mendes.
