Paris Saint-Germain are targeting Japan international Zion Suzuki amid interest in goalkeepers in Serie A.

Fabrizio Romano reports that PSG have presented their project to the Parma goalkeeper, who is also on the lists of Juventus Turin.

Suzuki, 23, reached the last 16 of the World Cup with Japan, a 1-2 defeat to Brazil. He made 20 Serie A appearances last season, keeping five clean sheets, and missed four months with a fractured left hand.

The goalkeeper has 28 caps and is under contract with Parma until 2029. He cites Manchester City’s Ederson as an influence and is noted for his distribution and reflexes.

Parma team-mate Nesta Elphege describes him as a complete keeper and exceptionally quick across the ground, ranking him among the top three in Italy alongside Mike Maignan and Vanja Milinkovic-Savic at Naples.

A month after signing 18-year-old Alessandro Longoni from AC Milan on a long-term deal to 2031, PSG could continue their recruitment in goal.

Any move for Suzuki would add pressure on Lucas Chevalier, 24, who arrived last season as a likely starter but lost his place to Matvey Safonov, 27. Chevalier’s demotion cost him a World Cup spot this summer, as Suzuki caught the eye.
