The defending champions are facing a significant injury crisis ahead of their Champions League opener. Luis Enrique’s side suffered three fresh injury blows during their 2-0 victory over RC Lens on Sunday, with Lee Kang-in, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Lucas Beraldo all forced off with injuries.

The Parisians are already without key attackers Ousmane Dembélé and Désiré Doué, who are sidelined for several weeks. Both players picked up issues while representing France during the international break. Dembélé is expected to miss around six weeks with a thigh injury, while Doué remains out with a calf problem until late September.

Ivan Juric’s side secured a morale-boosting 4-1 victory over Lecce at the weekend, with Charles De Ketelaere scoring twice alongside goals from Giorgio Scalvini and Nicola Zalewski. However, the Croatian coach faces selection headaches of his own.

Gianluca Scamacca remains sidelined with knee inflammation and withdrew from Italy duty earlier this month. The striker is expected to miss this fixture against PSG as well. Star winger Ademola Lookman continues to be frozen out by Juric, with the coach stating “I don’t think so” when asked about his availability for Paris.

Éderson is out with a muscle injury, while Sead Kolasinac faces a lengthy absence with a cruciate ligament injury.
