PSG will travel to Barcelona on Wednesday evening for one of the most eagerly awaited matches of the Champions League this season.

Both sides arrive at this high-profile fixture following wins in their respective opening matches of the league stage, promising an exciting showdown at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys.

PSG top the Ligue 1 standings with 15 points from six games, although several clubs are closely chasing with 12 points. Luis Enrique’s squad has displayed a potent attacking threat, but defensive weaknesses have occasionally been on show.

The injury situation for PSG has worsened ahead of this key clash, with Enrique facing the possibility of missing nearly half of his first-choice line-up. Among the absentees is team captain Marquinhos, sidelined by a thigh injury. Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembélé will continue to sit out due to his thigh problem, and Désiré Doué remains unavailable with a calf injury, ruling him out for the fixture.

Midfielder João Neves is still recovering from a hamstring complaint, but there is some hope he might feature.
