PSG are unbeaten in their last 12 Champions League knockout matches, nine wins and three draws, with only Manchester United enjoying a longer run, 13 between February 2008 and May 2009.

This double makes PSG only the second team to retain the title in the Champions League era, since 1993, after Real Madrid’s run from 2016 to 2018. They also matched the single-season scoring record with 45 goals, equalling Barcelona’s 1999-2000 haul.

Luis Enrique’s side have won all six of their penalty shootouts under him, as many as in their first 15 of the 21st century. They ended the final with 75.3 percent possession, the highest in a final since Opta began analysis in 2003-04, above Barcelona’s 70.3 percent against Arsenal in 2006.

Kai Havertz became only the third player to score in Champions League finals for two clubs, after doing so for Chelsea in 2021 and Arsenal in 2026. Cristiano Ronaldo and Mario Mandzukic are the others to have done so.

Arsenal have now played 226 matches in the competition without lifting the trophy, the most of any club. They are among four sides to have reached multiple finals without winning one, along with Reims, Valencia and Atlético Madrid.

The Gunners have lost five successive finals in major European competition, in 1995, 2000, 2006, 2019 and 2026, against Real Zaragoza, Galatasaray, Barcelona, Chelsea and PSG respectively. Over the last 364 days French clubs have won more Champions League titles, PSG in 2025 and 2026, than in the previous 25,188, Marseille in 1993.

Ousmane Dembélé has been involved in three goals across Champions League finals, two assists last year and a goal this time, bettered only by Cristiano Ronaldo with five, and Gareth Bale and Marcelo with four.
