Gianluigi Donnarumma’s future at PSG appears uncertain after the club’s signing of Lucas Chevalier. The 26-year-old goalkeeper is reportedly seeking a long-term move, with Manchester United, Manchester City, and Chelsea all monitoring the situation.

L’Equipe reported that Donnarumma has already agreed to terms with Manchester City and spoken directly with Pep Guardiola. Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano noted that Galatasaray are interested in Ederson, a move that could open the door for Donnarumma’s arrival at the Etihad.

RMC Sport added that Chelsea and Manchester United have also made initial inquiries, though those discussions remain at an early stage. Nonetheless, it appears that Guardiola and his side are the favorites for the Italian heading into the final days of the summer transfer window.

Manchester City have been in regular contact with Donnarumma’s representatives since he was informed of his situation earlier this summer. Former Manchester United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown admitted he was surprised PSG would consider moving on from a goalkeeper who played a key role in their UEFA Champions League triumph.

“It’s been one of the biggest surprises of the summer,” Brown told Football Insider. “A team playing fantastic football always improving as a team, winning the Champions League, but they want to get rid of one of their key players.

“It’s not completely clear why, I think something must have happened that we don’t know about. He’s a top goalkeeper and it’s obviously no surprise that Man City are looking at him. They’re looking to part ways with Ederson and he would be the replacement.

“From what I hear, they’ve known that Donnarumma might become available since way back at the start of the transfer window, it’s not new. His agent and representatives have been in contact throughout the summer to make his position clear. From City’s point of view, they’ve been keeping tabs on it and working out a plan. I think now they’re preparing to step up their efforts to bring him in.”
