Edon Zhegrova is quickly developing a reputation for being an impact substitute at Juventus, and that seems to be the perfect role for him because when he starts matches for the Bianconeri, he rarely makes an impact.

Francisco Conceicao, on the other hand, is the club’s starter on the right wing and continues to prove that there is no other player at the club who can bench him in that role. His performances have established him as an important part of the team and a regular starter in that position.

Conceicao and Zhegrova are Juve’s main right wing options, with the Portuguese star often starting matches while Zhegrova comes on as a substitute. Both players made direct contributions to Juve’s win against Atalanta over the weekend, underlining the quality available to the club in that position.

Conceicao scored the first goal, while Zhegrova came off the bench to provide an assist for the second. Pundit Giovanni Augimeri has now spoken about the difference between both wingers, highlighting the qualities that separate the two players.

Conceicao and Zhegrova Offer Different Qualities

He said via Tuttojuve:

“They are certainly two enterprising players in one-on-one situations, with quality, creativity, and dribbling. Conceicao perhaps has more energy to last longer, therefore to play 60 minutes, while perhaps Zhegrova is more of a player for the last 30 minutes, perhaps due to the length of the match. In terms of quality of play, choices, and ideas, I personally like Zhegrova better, because I think he has better playing tempo.”

The comments highlight how both players can offer something different to Juventus, with Conceicao able to provide greater energy over a longer period while Zhegrova can make an impact later in matches.

That difference could prove useful for Juve throughout the season, particularly when matches require a change in attacking approach. Zhegrova’s ability to influence games from the bench gives the club another option when matches become difficult.

Juventus Have Strong Options on the Right

Juve is blessed to have both players in their squad, and their different qualities give the club flexibility on the right wing. Conceicao can continue to provide a strong starting option, while Zhegrova can be introduced when Juventus need greater creativity and influence in the latter stages.

If they can both stay fit, that wing could be the most influential one at the club this season. Their contributions against Atalanta have already shown how effective they can be when they are used in roles that suit their respective strengths.
