Queens Park Rangers have been told not to accept less than £10million for star midfielder Nicolas Madsen
Queens Park Rangers are at risk of losing some of their top talent this summer after finishing just 15th in the Championship table.
Julien Stephan showed some positive signs in his first year as a manager in English football, but QPR ended their season with four consecutive defeats.
The R's can be forgiven for their final day defeat at Ipswich Town, who clinched automatic promotion to the Premier League alongside second-tier champions Coventry City.
However, recent home defeats against Derby County and Swansea City were more disappointing for the Loftus Road faithful, who haven't seen their side win since Good Friday.

Stephan's men have struggled for consistency in the Championship this term, which is why they ultimately finished 15 points adrift of the play-off places, but also 11 points clear of the relegation zone.
Midfielder Nicolas Madsen has been a standout performer for QPR in the 2026/27 campaign, notching three goals and six assists in 38 second-tier appearances.
Football League World asked our R's fan pundit, Louis Moir, if he anticipates the 26-year-old attracting interest this summer, having enjoyed a really strong season.
Moir told FLW: "I would be surprised if there is teams not looking at Madsen. Will he go? I really hope not. Obviously, money talks. No matter what player you've got, if the right bid comes in, it could potentially lead to them leaving the club.
"Madsen was absolutely terrific last season, deserving of player of the season. He was a joy to watch. I think he looks like a Premier League player in waiting, really. He's so classy on the ball, controlled games, did the dirty work as well, which many fans thought he wasn't capable of.
"He just looked a class above most weeks. He's a top, top player, Madsen. You can really tell that. I think if he was to leave, you've got to be looking at fairly big money.
"Maybe around £10million minimum. Really, what he showed last season. He's one of the best centre mids in the league. I think he went under the radar, maybe to a lot of other fans, because we weren't really a team that a lot of people watched, in terms of a team that was doing so well, and pushing for the playoffs.
"He could probably play for any side in the league. He is brilliant, and fingers crossed, he can stay for us, stay with QPR for at least another season.
"If he plays like he did this season next season, then we've got a chance of succeeding because he's so crucial. You saw when he got injured towards the end of last season, he was missed massively.
"I think the key now is to get a midfield partner next to him who's on a similar level, because we kind of need that. It showed last season (Jonathan) Varane inconsistent, (Kieron) Morgan not good enough, (Isaac) Hayden not good enough.
"I think there's room there for a midfielder to partner him. If that happens, and then that works, then we've got very good options there. Madsen is an absolutely superb footballer, and it was a joy to see him play like he did. If he even improves on that next season, he's going to be quite a player at this level.
"Fingers crossed he stays, but obviously there could well be interest. We can't be accepting anything less than £10M minimum."

Madsen has been one of QPR's best players since joining the West London outfit from Belgian club Westerlo in the summer of 2024.
Furthermore, as per Sacha Tavolieri via X, the former Denmark youth international is under contract at Loftus Road until 2029, meaning the R's can command a high transfer fee.
However, losing Madsen's services may be too much of a risk for Stephan's side from a footballing point of view, regardless of how much money they could recoup for him in the transfer market.
As Moir alluded to, acquiring another talented midfielder to complement the 26-year-old would bolster QPR's chances of enjoying more success next term.
