Quansah ‘expected to remain’ at Leverkusen until 2027 | OneFootball

Sport BILD reports that Quansah is expected to remain in Bayer Leverkusen’s squad until 2027, with Kicker.de carrying the same line.

Both outlets state Liverpool have opted against activating their buy-back clause this summer.

Sport BILD and Kicker.de add that the clause is due to expire shortly and would have returned the 23-year-old centre-back for €60million.

As a result, he will be with Leverkusen next season, while Liverpool could revisit the buy-back in 2027.

Even then, the fee would remain around €60million, so the Rhineland club would not be under financial pressure.

Despite being a regular starter, Quansah, like many team-mates, has shown inconsistency, which helps explain why Liverpool are not yet ready to trigger a €60million return.
