Jarell Quansah says he has "started to love football again" since joining Bayer Leverkusen, reflecting on a positive start in the Bundesliga.
According to BuLi News, the 23-year-old moved from Liverpool in a €35 million deal last summer and has settled quickly at the BayArena, establishing himself as a regular.
He has made 38 appearances in all competitions, impressing domestically and in Europe, where Leverkusen's Champions League run ended against Arsenal in the round of 16.
With the club fifth in the Bundesliga and chasing a top-four finish, the England international said: "I've really enjoyed it so far, but it's not over yet. We have an important month ahead."
He added that he wants to show what he is capable of and what he can give to the team and the fans. He broke through at Premier League champions Liverpool over the previous two seasons, developing in a culture of relentless expectation.
"It's never easy to move to another country," he said. "After the pressure at Liverpool, it's difficult to leave such a big club and try to build your own career after being in one place for 17 years. But I'm glad it's gone well so far."
