France national team manager Didier Deschamps will unveil tonight his 2026 World Cup squad. For the final time in his trophy-laden spell as Les Bleus boss, the 57-year-old manager will pick and choose France’s best squad of players like he has done for the past fourteen years. Deschamps will leave his post after the World Cup. His successor is expected to be Zinédine Zidane.

Didier Deschamps – a two-time World Cup winner as player (1998) and manager (2018) – could further cement his place in football history by becoming only the second man – after Brazil’s Pelé – to win three World Cups. In America, Les Bleus have been drawn in Group I alongside Senegal, Iraq and Norway. Before crossing the Atlantic, France will play two friendly games against Ivory Coast and Northern Ireland.
