Rafa Mir is close to finalising a move to Aris Thessaloniki after the Audiencia de Valencia gave the green light for him to continue his career outside Spain. The deal would cover the 26/27 season.

Estadio Deportivo reports that the striker has received passport authorisation to play abroad, a key step towards his departure from Sevilla.

Las Provincias adds that the court has allowed him to reside in Greece this season to sign for Aris, on the condition he checks in once a month at the consulate.

The Fourth Section of the Provincial Court of Valencia sentenced Mir to eight and a half years in prison for the sexual assault of a 21-year-old woman in the early hours of 1 September 2024 at his home in the Torre en Conill estate in Bétera.

The former Valencia and Elche forward is now nearing an agreement that would take him to the Greek Super League for the coming campaign.
