Ramon Abatti Abel to referee Athletico-PR v Santos in Brasileirão | OneFootball

Ramon Abatti Abel, a 36-year-old Fifa-listed referee from Santa Catarina, will take charge of Athletico-PR v Santos at 19:00 on Thursday at the Arena da Baixada, in the third round of the Brasileirão.

According to Diario Do Peixe, assistant referees will be Alex dos Santos and Henrique Neu Ribeiro, both from Santa Catarina, with Caio Max Augusto Vieira of Goiás on VAR. The fourth official is Afro Rocha De Carvalho Filho.

Rodrigo Martins Cintra is the inspector and Jose Alexandre Barbosa Lima the assessor.

Last year he oversaw Santos’ Copa do Brasil exit, a 0-0 draw away to CRB at Rei Pelé in the third-round second leg, after a 1-1 first leg, before a 5-4 defeat on penalties. In the league, he refereed the 6-0 loss to Vasco at Morumbis and served as AVAR2 for the 1-1 draw with Mirassol at Vila Belmiro.

In 2023 he took charge of the 2-2 draw with Botafogo at Vila Belmiro and the 2-1 win over Bahia at Fonte Nova in Serie A, plus the 1-0 victory at Ceilândia in the Copa do Brasil.

In 2022 he handled both league meetings with Internacional, a 1-1 draw at Vila Belmiro and a 1-0 defeat at Beira-Rio, and officiated the 2-0 home win over Botafogo. He also worked on the VAR team for the 2-2 draw with Vasco at Vila Belmiro in the 2020 Brasileiro.
