Rangers host Dundee in the Scottish Premiership at Ibrox Stadium on Sunday, 25 January 2026, with the hosts aiming to keep pace in the title race and the visitors looking to build on recent gains in the bottom half.
Rangers have the upper hand in this season's head-to-head, winning 3-0 away in November after a 1-1 draw at Ibrox in August.
Form favours the hosts. Rangers have won five on the bounce across competitions, including league victories over Celtic and Aberdeen. Dundee arrive with four wins from their last five in all competitions and three wins in their last four league matches.
Expect Rangers to control territory. They average 59% possession with 84.76% passing accuracy, have kept nine clean sheets and conceded only 17 league goals. Captain James Tavernier leads their league scoring with five, while Nicolas Raskin and Jayden Meghoma have each supplied four assists. Dundee tend to play with less of the ball at 40% possession, but they compete well in the air, winning 457 aerial duels and scoring six headed goals. Cameron Congreve tops the league's assists chart with six and could be key on turnovers.
Routes to goal may hinge on width and crosses. Rangers have delivered 325 open-play crosses at 19.38% accuracy and could look to stretch the visitors. Dundee, who have made 750 clearances and 98 blocks, may lean on set deliveries and aerial pressure to test the home defence.
A win would move Rangers to 47 points and keep pressure on leaders Hearts. Three points for Dundee would take them to 25 and may ease relegation concerns by strengthening their position in the lower half.
