Claudio Ranieri is waiting to find out whether he can lead Italy’s national team despite his new role as Roma’s senior advisor.
The veteran technician has been officially approached by the FIGC who want him as Luciano Spalletti’s successor.
However, in order to say yes to the FIGC, Ranieri needs the Friedkins’ OK.
As reported by Sky Sport, in the meeting between Ranieri and the Friedkins that will be held later today, the Testaccio coach will ask to be able to carry out the double role of national team technician and club advisor.
At the moment, the American owners have not responded. In the event of a negative response, the alternative remains Stefano Pioli.
