Ranking of the best forwards: Harry Kane stands head and shoulders above the rest | OneFootball

Harry Kane has had an impressive season. He was the top scorer in Europe and is even in the running for the Ballon d’Or as a result. Now he’s dominating yet another ranking at will. 

This is the German soccer rankings list, published twice a year by the trade magazine *kicker *. In this list, players are divided into various categories based on their positions.

These categories are World Class, International Class, and National Class. The list for center forwards has now been released. And, unsurprisingly, Kane tops it—by a fairly wide margin.

Kane Dominates Striker Rankings

The trade magazine has even granted the Bayern striker entry into the “world-class” category. “kicker” is actually quite conservative in its use of this designation, as demonstrated by the example of Dayot Upamecano, who narrowly missed out on this category.

“The 32-year-old Englishman also posted countless stellar stats in the past half-year: Bundesliga top scorer Kane found the net every 65 minutes while playing for Munich, scoring 17 league goals in 16 games,” kicker explained, justifying the striker’s top spot on the list. He is also the only player in his position to have reached the “world-class” level.

Behind Kane in second place is Stuttgart’s Deniz Undav. He, too, has had a truly excellent season, though he was unable to match the stats Kane posted. He was the only player to reach the international class; beyond that, there is already a significant gap.

Rounding out the rest of the rankings are Igor Matanovic (SC Freiburg), Fisnik Asllani (TSG Hoffenheim), Serhou Guirassy (BVB), Patrik Schick (Bayer Leverkusen), Ermedin Demirović (VfB Stuttgart), Said El Mala, Ragnar Ache (both 1. FC Köln), and Mainz’s Philipp Tietz.
