Barcelona winger Raphinha is expected to be sidelined for around five weeks with a right hamstring injury, the club said.

The 29-year-old left at half-time of Brazil’s 1-2 friendly defeat to France in Boston on Thursday after feeling pain in his right thigh.

Barcelona outlined the diagnosis on Friday and the forward has returned to the city to begin rehabilitation.

Raphinha has scored 19 goals in all competitions for Barcelona this season.

He is therefore expected to miss the Champions League quarter-final tie with Atlético de Madrid, scheduled for 8 and 14 April.
