Raphinha responds angrily to reports suggesting he could leave Barcelona | OneFootball

The Brazilian forward Raphinha has been one of the most important players for FC Barcelona in recent seasons, but despite his importance, speculation about his future continues to dominate headlines ahead of the summer transfer window.

The winger has once again been linked with a move away from Barcelona, with clubs from Saudi Arabia reportedly interested in signing him. There have also been reports claiming that the player himself is uncertain about his continuity at the Catalan club.

However, as Mundo Deportivo has reported, Raphinha has now categorically denied all such rumours while speaking to ESPN during the media day ahead of the upcoming El Clasico.

The Brazilian did not hold back while addressing the constant speculation surrounding his future and even accused one journalist of repeatedly spreading false information about him:

The Barcelona captain then went on to directly reject recent claims suggesting that he had internally discussed doubts about his future at the club:

“The journalist who wrote that has also written other things about me that were false, saying that I met with the club, that I spoke internally about my indecision, that I didn’t know whether I would continue or not… that guy only lies. Every time he publishes something, he always has to leave things out, and almost everything that comes out of his mouth is irrelevant.”

With these statements, Raphinha has made it abundantly clear that he has no intention of leaving Barcelona anytime soon, despite the growing transfer rumours surrounding him.

The 29-year-old recently returned to the squad after recovering from the injury he suffered during the last international break with Brazil, and now hopes to help Barcelona secure another La Liga title under Hansi Flick.

The Brazilian also made it clear that his main focus remains winning La Liga, regardless of the opponent against whom the title is secured:
