Newcastle legend warns United striker his future at Barça is not guaranteed

Alan Shearer, Newcastle United icon & Premier League's all time top scorer has strongly criticized Marcus Rashford for lack of discipline during his loan spell at Barcelona.

Disciplinary issue after UCL heroics

Rashford scored twice against Newcastle in the Champions league but was dropped for Barca's next la liga match against Getafe.

Spanish reports claim he arrived late to morning meeting prompting coach Hansi Flick to bench him in line with strict team rules.

Shearer's sharp warning

Speaking on Betfair, Shearer said:

"Rashford's brilliant when focused. What he did against Newcastle was stunning especially his second goal. But professionalism matters. Why should teammates arrive on time and not him? If he wants to stay at Barcelona, he must realize his place isn’t guaranteed"

Former Man United star Paul Scholes also voiced frustration, noting:

"His talent's unquestionable but I can't celebrate him. The way he left United was disappointing. I saw him walking in games as if he'd given up. For me he abandoned the club , and if you do it once, you'll do it again"
