Wrexham beat Charlton Athletic 1-0 at The Valley to make it three straight Championship wins and consolidate sixth place in the play-off spots.

In the 30th minute, Oliver Rathbone arrowed a left-footed shot from outside the box into the bottom right corner to break the deadlock.

Charlton's clearest chance saw Tyreece Campbell head over from close range (68.) as the hosts pushed for an equaliser.

Josh Windass drew a save from Will Mannion (72.), then Kieffer Moore nodded inches wide (80.). Arthur Okonkwo preserved the lead by tipping away Sonny Carey's effort late on (90.).

Charlton saw more of the ball at The Valley with 53.9% possession. They mustered 12 attempts but hit the target only once. Wrexham produced eight attempts and defended robustly, making 41 clearances.
