Raul Jimenez put himself into the record books on Monday night with his latest Premier League goal against Nottingham Forest.
The Fulham striker broke the deadlock at Craven Cottage to put the hosts ahead deep into first-half stoppage time when he converted from the spot.
The successful penalty maintains the Mexican’s immaculate record from twelve yards out; he has scored all 11 of his attempts in the Premier League.
That puts him level with Manchester City legend Yaya Toure for the most penalties scored without missing one in the Premier League, with both men the only players to boast a 100 per cent conversion rate after taking ten or more penalties.
“It’s always what I do,” Jimenez told Sky Sports after the final whistle. “I do it well, so it’s something I have been training my whole career. I like to have this pressure with these penalties. I’m happy to score.
“I’ve never missed [a penalty in the Premier League]. I’m really happy about that, so I want to keep doing it like that. More penalties to come, I’ll be there.
“It’s a tough period with a lot of matches. I think we have five games in two weeks so it’s going to be tough, but we are going to be there ready for it.”
The goal turned out to be a crucial one as Fulham went on to beat Forest 1-0, taking them up to 13th in the table.
