Rayan Cherki fronting documentary and collaborating with rapper Sasso | OneFootball

Rayan Cherki has a new documentary and a music link-up with Lyon rapper Sasso, arriving as he competes at the World Cup in the United States.

According to Le Progres, the film, Magic Cherki, follows the Lyon midfielder and includes a segment in which he appears alongside Sasso on a new track.

The rapper has produced a tribute song featuring Cherki’s vocals. It is scheduled to be released on Friday 12 June at 12:00 on streaming platforms.

Long hailed as one of the modern game’s few thrill players, Cherki has also shown an easy touch on the mic. Clips of his banter have become cult viewing on social media, a side of his personality his fans appreciate.

He is far from the first footballer to try music. In Lyon, Karim Benzema previously collaborated with Rohff on Fais-moi la passe.

The documentary is available on Canal+ free for six months. Its release comes on the eve of a World Cup in which Cherki will have the chance to showcase his full range.
