Adrià Pedrosa has left Nervión to join Rayo Vallecano on a season-long loan, giving Sevilla room on the wage bill.
According to La Colina De Nervion, it is a simple loan without a purchase option until next summer. Rayo will pay slightly more than half of his salary, with Sevilla covering the remainder. He will still have one year left on his contract once the loan ends, when his future will be revisited.
The left-back had been training apart from the group alongside others outside Luis García Plaza’s plans, including Fabio Cardoso. Sporting director José Ignacio Navarro recently said he had spoken plainly with the player and was open to studying proposals.
Olympiacos showed interest earlier in the window, while RCD Mallorca and UD Almería also assessed his situation. Rayo’s move keeps him in LaLiga and supplies cover for Pep Chavarría after his transfer to Chelsea under Xabi Alonso.
Pedrosa arrived in July 2023 as a free agent from RCD Espanyol on a five-year deal. Across his first two seasons he was a regular, playing 31 LaLiga matches in each and more than 75 games overall. He scored three times, added five assists and featured in the Champions League.
He was loaned to Elche in September 2025, enjoyed continuity there, then returned this summer when their option was not exercised. Competition from Gabriel Suazo and Oso left him without room in the current squad. Vallecas now offers a chance to regain prominence as Sevilla continue late-window trimming.
