RB Leipzig approach Everton over Thierno Barry | OneFootball

Everton FC’s Thierno Barry (23) is reportedly on RB Leipzig’s radar, according to The Times.

The German club are even said to have already made contact with their English counterparts to discuss the terms of a potential transfer.

Having arrived on the banks of the Mersey last summer from Villarreal CF, the French striker had a mixed first season as he settled in, but has nonetheless become an important part of David Moyes’ squad. He featured in all 38 Premier League fixtures, starting 21 of them and scoring eight goals.

Something to give Leipzig food for thought, as they have made the Frenchman a target for their summer transfer window, whilst the Saxons look to strengthen their squad ahead of their participation in the 2026-27 Champions League, for which they have qualified thanks to their third-place finish in the Bundesliga.

However, if they wish to turn their interest in Barry into a deal, the German club’s management will undoubtedly have to fork out millions, considering that the Lyon-native was signed by Everton for €30 million and remains under contract there until 2029.
