RB Leipzig complete the signing of Maxime Estève from Burnley | OneFootball

RB Leipzig have completed the signing of defender Maxime Estève from Burnley on a five-year deal.

The French youth international initially joined Burnley from Montpellier midway through the 2023/24 season before his move was made permanent. Estève became a regular after his arrival, featuring in 34 of the Clarets' 38 Premier League games last season.

"I am very happy to be a player for RB Leipzig from now on," the 24-year-old said about his move to the Bundesliga. 

"The club stands for intense, courageous football, for development and for great ambitions. That suits me very well. 

"I come to Leipzig to help the team directly, to take responsibility and to be successful together with the team. I learned a lot in France and England and would now like to contribute these experiences and qualities to RB Leipzig."

In total Estève featured 100 times for Burnley in all competitions, scoring once in the Championship against Cardiff City in March 2025.
