RB Leipzig’s Amadou Haidara on the verge of Paris FC move | OneFootball

L’Équipe reports that RB Leipzig midfielder Amadou Haidara has agreed to terms with Paris FC. The Malian international should be on his way out of the Bundesliga provided the German and French outfit can work out a suitable transfer fee. Given that Les Parisiens are also part of the Red Bull Cosmos, one assumes the two clubs can complete the deal.

Leipzig must find a way of reducing their oversized 38-man-squad. Haidara also enters the final year of his Leipzig contract, meaning that the German Red Bulls will not have another chance to cash in on him. The 27-year-old has long served as an expendable on the German club’s squad. Leipzig have been looking to offload him since the end of last season.

Should the transfer go through, Haidara will move to his fourth “RB System” club. Haidara also represented RB Salzburg and FC Liefering in Austria before moving to Germany. The Bamako-native – who has worked solely with Red Bull clubs throughout his ten-year professional career – amassed 159 German top flight appearances over the course of the last seven seasons in Saxony.
