RBS women aim to rattle leaders

Facing FK Austria Vienna at the Red Bull Football Academy

Our first match on this summery Sunday is not at the Red Bull Arena, but Liefering's Saalachspitz, where our RBS women's team will face the league leaders from Vienna-Favoriten. The championship group match kicks off at 12:45 CEST, and admission is – as always – free! Sara Telek, voted Referee of the Season in the 2024/25 ADMIRAL Women's Bundesliga, will officiate the game.

We will have a reunion as Dusan Pavlovic's team last faced the undefeated league leaders in mid-March – when a lapse in concentration during build-up play led to a narrow 0-1 defeat. For context: last weekend, Austria Vienna were held only to their second draw of the season (0-0 in St. Pölten), meaning that, given their six-point cushion over the Lower Austrian champions, the club's first-ever women's title seems only a matter of time. Greta Spinn and her teammates will be facing Kenesei's crew again in the near future – after all, the Austrian Women's Cup final is scheduled for 14 May. Like the final, the upcoming league match will be broadcast live on ORF SPORT+.

Austria Vienna absolutely deserve to be in first place. But for me, it's about our performance. We won't be passive, but will go onto the pitch bravely, aggressively, and proactively, and try to impose our game – that's our aim. We're incredibly excited about this next big game!
