Real Madrid and Vinicius Junior set July meeting to discuss new contract | OneFootball

The two parties spoke as soon as Brazil were eliminated from the World Cup, at the Round of 16 stage, and it was in this conversation that they agreed to meet as soon as possible. Furthermore, both parties expressed their willingness to reach an agreement as soon as possible to continue working together in the future.

As far as Real Madrid are concerned, their desire to extend the Brazilian’s contract is a club decision, and has nothing to do with Jose Mourinho, despite him having a significant say in some of the club’s decisions. It was a similar case with Aurelien Tchouameni’s renewal, which was completed a few days ago.

Despite some reports to the contrary, the Merengues never considered Vinicius Junior’s departure or sale this summer, and are calm about this operation. They are looking to close this renewal before the end of this month, but if things get delayed again and there is no conclusion to this saga before the start of the new season, Real Madrid can significantly change their plans regarding their star forward.
