With El Clasico coming up in just over a week, the player is in a real race against time to make it back for the potentially title-deciding game.

As it stands, there is a small chance that the player is back for the big game, although reports from earlier in the day show that the player has taken a step in the wrong direction and that his chances are slowly dwindling.

Real Madrid are annoyed

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid are annoyed with Mbappe, and it is not for his injury or situation that rules him out for games.

On the contrary, the irritation within the club is around the player’s slack attitude when injured and how he has taken off on vacation taking advantage of his injury.

While still recovering from his fitness setback, the Frenchman has been spotted with his girlfriend Ester Exposito first in Paris and then in Cagliari. The images of the couple have gone viral, and Real Madrid do not appreciate his actions.

With El Clasico just around the corner, Los Blancos believe the player must be more serious and committed to the club and work on his recovery instead of holidaying. Given that he is the highest-paid player in the squad only doubles the criticism.

Moreover, it is not just Real Madrid and the Spanish press who are frustrated with the player but also the French media who are lashing out at the player. With the FIFA World Cup just around the corner too, they feel he is taking his position for granted.
