In a major update, Matteo Moretto via MARCA reports that Real Madrid has secured the signing of promising young Alaves talent Victory Okorie.
The 16-year-old left-back has already signed with the Spanish capital club, clarifying his future after attracting interest from several major European teams, including Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
Currently a part of the Deportivo Alaves youth academy, Okorie, Born on January 1, 2010, is held in very high regard in Spain.
The full-back has already been called up to play several matches with the Spain national U-16 football team.
Okorie stands out for his physical ability and maturity despite his young age, qualities that have led him to be considered one of the most promising players in the youth system of Alaves.
Real Madrid have had their eyes on the young prospect for a while now, with scouts from the club describing him as a ‘mix between Roberto Carlos and Alphonso Davies’.
Given his potential, a number of other top clubs, including Real Madrid’s arch-rivals Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, as well as Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund wanted him.
However, Okorie will join Real Madrid’s academy, La Fabrica, at the end of the current season, with the expectation being that he will become a part of the club’s Juvenil B (U18) setup.
