Spanish giants Real Madrid snatched three crucial points last Sunday against their traditional rivals, FC Barcelona, with a 2-1 victory at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium in Madrid, in a high-stakes La Liga clash.
With this win, Los Blancos widen the gap at the top of the Spanish league table, now boasting a five-point lead over their closest pursuers, Barcelona, who sit at 22 points.
In this context, Real Madrid's Brazilian star, Vinicius Junior, delivered a heartfelt message to Madridistas after controversial images and high tension marked the Clásico right up until the dying moments.
Vinicius stated: "A message to all Madridistas, especially those who came to the Bernabéu to support us so passionately: this is what the Clásico is all about, so much happens on and off the pitch."
He added: "We try to keep our composure, but that's not always possible. We don't want to offend anyone, not the young players, not the fans."
The Seleção star wrapped up by saying: "We know that when we step onto the pitch, we have to play our part, and that's exactly what we did today. Hala Madrid!"
