Real Madrid kicks off its season this Tuesday night at home against Osasuna in La Liga. Brahim Diaz marks a special first since his departure from AC Milan.

For this first La Liga match, Xabi Alonso is forced to do without Bellingham, Camavinga, Endrick, and Ferland Mendy, all sidelined through injury, as well as Rüdiger, who is suspended.

The Spanish coach has gone with a 4-3-3 formation, featuring three of his new signings: Alexander-Arnold at right-back, Huijsen partnering Militao in central defense, and Carreras at left-back. In midfield, French international Tchouaméni anchors the trio, with Valverde and Güler playing ahead of him. Up front, Vinicius Junior and Brahim Diaz will look to supply Mbappé, who leads the line as the lone striker.

This starting role for the Moroccan international is a milestone. In fact, it's the first time Brahim Diaz starts a La Liga season as a Real Madrid starter since his move from AC Milan (2023). He'll need a strong showing tonight to cement his place in the lineup.
