Real Madrid captain to speak with Barcelona youngster over ‘disrespectful’ comments | OneFootball

Leading up to Sunday’s El Clasico, Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal has stoked the fire with his comments during a Kings League event last night.

The Spanish winger, who will be in the spotlight on Sunday, playfully suggested that Real Madrid “steal and complain” while speaking to popular streamer and Los Blancos fan Ibai Llanos.

Lamine’s comments anger Real Madrid

However, as one would suspect, Lamine’s comments, made only a couple of days before the Clasico, have not gone down well at Real Madrid, reports Mundo Deportivo.

The Barcelona teenager’s remarks have caused irritation within the Merengues’ locker room, with members of the squad describing the comments as “stupid statements” that do not reflect well on the person making them.

Beyond considering the remark “a stupidity”, they also view it as “disrespectul”, whether directed at Real Madrid or at any other club in the Spanish top flight.

As such, Real Madrid intend to address the matter directly with Barcelona player. To that end, club captain Dani Carvajal will speak with Lamine after the match on Sunday at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Meanwhile, at Real Madrid, there is also concern that the Barcelona player’s words could jeopardise the strong sense of unity currently present within the Spanish national team.

It remains to be seen whether this incident will have any impact during the next international break, starting on 10 November, when La Roja will play their final World Cup qualifying matches against Georgia and Turkey.
