Real Madrid draw up 4-man defender transfer shortlist | OneFootball

La Liga heavyweights Real Madrid have drawn up a shortlist of defensive transfer targets for the summer, featuring four names from across the continent.

Los Blancos have of course already been extremely busy on the arrivals front with a view to next season, with deals for all of Bernardo Silva, Marc Cucurella, Ibrahima Konaté and Denzel Dumfries in the bag.

New boss José Mourinho, though, has evidently made clear that he remains unsatisfied with the defensive options at his disposal.

Florentino Pérez and co. have therefore set about bringing in one more central defender, following the departure of David Alaba.

And as alluded to above, amid this search, four names are understood to have been circled in red by those in the Santiago Bernabéu boardroom.

As per a report from journalist Ruben Martin of Diario AS, the following four stoppers are considered real candidates to make the move to Spain’s capital this summer:

Nico Schlotterbeck (Borussia Dortmund), Rubén Dias (Manchester City), Tomás Araújo (Benfica) and Gonçalo Inácio (Sporting CP).
