Real Madrid duo Endrick and Franco Mastantuono have emerged as key targets for AS Roma, according to Italian publication TuttoMercatoWeb.

Los Blancos are willing to listen to proposals for both players, who are not considered a key part of manager Jose Mourinho’s plans for the new season.

Roma are operating with a limited budget despite qualifying for the Champions League, and are exploring the possibility of securing loan deals rather than permanent transfers.

However, they have made it clear that they’re not only interested in dry loans and will look to include options or obligations for permanent transfers.

Roma sporting director Tony D’Amico has travelled to Spain for talks with Madrid.

Endrick is reportedly Roma’s top priority. The 20-year-old has struggled to make a name for himself at Madrid but is still considered one of the most exciting young attackers in Europe.

Madrid signed him from Palmeiras in 2024 for around €47.5 million, but regular first-team football is far from guaranteed.

Roma believe they can offer Endrick valuable playing time and Champions League football. The promise of both could be enough to lure him away from the Spanish capital this summer.

The Giallorossi have reportedly been monitoring the striker’s situation for several weeks, although convincing Madrid to approve a loan may not be straightforward.

Roma are also in the race to sign Mastantuono, who is not expected to play for Madrid this season.

Los Blancos are willing to sanction a loan move so the Argentine midfielder can continue his development elsewhere in Europe.

Mastantuono would reportedly welcome a return to River Plate, but Madrid are determined to keep him in Europe and are not considering a move back to Argentina. 

That decision has opened the door for several clubs across the continent, with Serie A emerging as a likely destination.

Fiorentina are also in the race to sign Mastantuono. However, Roma are hoping the lure of Champions League football can turn the tide in their favour.
