Supporters of La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Wednesday come together to lavish praise on one particular member of Xabi Alonso’s squad.

The player in question? Thibaut Courtois.

Real Madrid are of course currently locked in action on the domestic front, in a La Liga meeting with Athletic Club.

Shot-stopper Courtois was as expected in from the off for the evening, taking his place between the posts for the 2nd game on the bounce after a brief injury absence.

And safe to say, the Belgian has gone on to impress onlookers with his exploits…

After Kylian Mbappé opened the game’s scoring in spectacular fashion early on, it is Courtois who has since ensured that the visitors to Bilbao have maintained their advantage.

The former Chelsea man has conjured up several top-class saves, to keep Ernesto Valverde’s dangerous Athletic at bay.
