Nico Paz is the talk of the town in Europe after his brilliant start to the season with Como. The attacking midfielder, a product of Real Madrid’s academy, is being courted by several big clubs, most notably Tottenham Hotspur.
However, the fact that Real Madrid retain a buyback clause and a future sale percentage means that they retain great control over his future and have played a role in offers from other clubs getting rejected.
According to AS, the plan for Nico Paz’s future is set: success at Como now, and glory with Real Madrid later.
Indeed, Los Blancos have assured him that he is part of their 2026 plans and that they intend to re-sign him by using the €9 million buyback clause.

Real Madrid hold all the cards: they still own 50% of his rights after selling the other half for €6 million to Como last year and have several buy-back clauses.
These are: €8 million to bring him back this summer, €9 million in 2026, and €10 million in 2027. The chosen path is the second one – pay €9 million next summer, and reintegrate him into the first team.
Como will have earned €3 million and enjoyed two years of a high-quality player, while Nico will return more mature and closer to the level needed at Real Madrid.
Nico, for his part, has always maintained he dreams of returning and succeeding at the Santiago Bernabeu. And unless something drastic happens, the plans are in place for the Argentine international to come back to Real Madrid next year.
