Real Madrid lock horns with Juventus in a couple of days in the UEFA Champions League before facing FC Barcelona in La Liga.
It promises to be a huge week for Xabi Alonso & co., and securing victories in both matches would be a huge statement of intent from Los Blancos.
Leading up to the big games, the injury woes seem to be easing up for Real Madrid. As reported already, Trent Alexander-Arnold completed the first part of the training session today with the group and could return to the squad vs Juventus.
Now, journalist Melchor Ruiz of COPE has come forward with an update on the situations of other injured stars like Dean Huijsen, Dani Carvajal, and Dani Ceballos.
As per the report, it seems difficult for the Spanish trio to be cleared in time to face Juventus on Wednesday night at the Santiago Bernabeu.
But, it is likely that all three – Carvajal, Ceballos, and Huijsen – are able to return for the first El Clasico of the season, on 26 October, at the Bernabeu.

Carvajal has been out with a calf injury for almost a month now, having sustained it in the derby defeat to Atletico Madrid.
Huijsen, meanwhile, is dealing with a muscle strain which led to him being withdrawn from the Spain squad during the international break this month. As for Ceballos, he picked up a muscle issue last week and missed the Getafe clash.
The Spanish trio’s availability to face Juventus seems difficult but they could be back in time for the Clasico against Hansi Flick’s men.
Meanwhile, Thibaut Courtois is not dealing with any issues after finishing the Getafe game with discomfort.
As for David Alaba, he ended Sunday’s game with a calf strain, leading to his substitution at half-time. The veteran Austrian was expected to undergo tests today, but it is now being claimed that he will be examined on Tuesday instead.
It remains to be seen when Ferland Mendy can return to the squad, having resumed training recently.
