The Los Blancos signed Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni and Arda Guler to replace them, but they have failed to deliver.

Madrid are now ready to add more quality to their midfield. Mundo Deportivo claims that Manchester City star Rodri is their priority midfield target.

Rodri’s contract at City ends in 2027, and he recently admitted that he was open to joining Madrid.

They believe that Rodri can make an immediate impact, having previously played for Villarreal and Atletico Madrid.

City have identified Elliot Anderson as a prime target to replace Rodri, while Sandro Tonali is also on their radar.

Madrid will explore a move for either Enzo Fernandez or Adam Wharton if they fail to sign Rodri.

Fernandez’s future with Chelsea is uncertain following his comment after the Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain, in which he suggested he wants to leave the club.

The Argentina international recently expressed admiration for Madrid, further fuelling doubts about his future at Chelsea.

Wharton is considering leaving Crystal Palace as he wants to play in the Champions League.

The England international is one of Manchester United’s top midfield targets and is also on Liverpool’s radar.
