Real Madrid transfer news has taken another interesting turn after fresh reports suggested that Rodri is open to leaving Manchester City and would welcome a return to Spain. 

For years, the Spanish midfielder has been linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, but the latest information indicates that Los Blancos are not planning to revive their interest.

According to journalist Miguel Serrano, the Real Madrid transfer department has once again assessed the possibility of signing Rodri and reached the same conclusion as before. 

Despite his reputation as one of Europe’s best holding midfielders, the club do not believe he is the right fit for their long-term project.

The aforementioned information comes at a time when Real Madrid are looking for a midfield organiser, making Rodri’s name an obvious topic of discussion. 

However, the club’s internal evaluation points in a different direction.

Although Rodri has been admired by Real Madrid over the years, club officials believe now is not the right time to pursue the Manchester City midfielder.

The record European champions have evaluated the situation on several occasions but have consistently decided against making a move. 

Notably, several factors have influenced that decision. 

To begin with, the club is said to have concerns over the midfielder’s age, as he is now 30, while his recovery from a serious knee injury has also been taken into consideration. 

Above all, the coaching staff and the board feel that his profile does not complement Aurelien Tchouameni, who continues to be regarded as one of the cornerstones of the club’s future midfield.

Taking into account all those reasons, the Rodri Real Madrid transfer story has little momentum despite the player’s openness to the move.

Reports suggest Rodri is prepared to leave Manchester City and would be interested in joining Real Madrid if the opportunity arose. 

A return to La Liga would appeal to the Spain international, who has regularly been linked with the Bernabeu in recent transfer windows.

Even so, Real Madrid news indicates there is no change in the club’s position.

Lastly, the journalist concludes his report by stating that regardless of this development, the door is not entirely closed. 

He points out that Real Madrid have changed their stance on transfer decisions in the past, where players such as Bernardo Silva eventually returned to the club’s radar after previously being overlooked.

While a Rodri to Real Madrid transfer appears unrealistic today, football’s transfer market has shown that situations can change quickly, which is why we cannot entirely rule out the possibility yet.
