Over the past 24 hours or so, there has been intense speculation on the future of Xabi Alonso, with various reports claiming that Real Madrid are forming doubts about the coach.

They suggested that Alonso has already lost the dressing room and does not enjoy the support of key players in the team, with some even wanting him gone.

This comes at a time when Vinicius Jr. has also reportedly informed Florentino Perez that he won’t renew his contract as long as Alonso is the coach.

Real Madrid make crucial decision

A recent report from MARCA has offered some vital update on Alonso’s future at Real Madrid, suggesting that the club have already made a key decision.

As per the report, Real Madrid have decided to fully back Alonso and are willing to respect his position as head coach.

The message coming out of Real Madrid is that Alonso is the boss, above all players, no matter how important they are, and that he is the leader of the project and there are zero doubts about him.

Keeping that in mind, Real Madrid support all of Alonso’s decisions including the decision to bench Vinicius every now and then.

The club believe Alonso is the perfect coach for the team and are therefore, ready to back him against any potential adversity in the dressing room.

This will come as a sigh of relief of Alonso, who has had to deal with news reports flying around the Spanish media about a potential anti-Alonso group forming within the Real Madrid ranks.

However, despite the support, Alonso must prove himself by guiding Real Madrid into the right direction, especially after a recent set of disappointing results.
