Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos finds himself in a difficult position, with his situation at the club now reaching a critical point after a reported falling out with Alvaro Arbeloa.

Ceballos’ absence from the squad in the recent match against Real Betis has raised serious questions about his standing within the team.

Speaking ahead of the clash against Espanyol, Arbeloa chose not to go into detail, keeping his position consistent when it comes to internal matters.

Addressing the issue, he said, “I don’t get involved in public debates about situations with my players. 

“I’ve been in this dressing room for over 20 years and the first thing I learnt is that things stay in the dressing room. I’ve stuck to that for 20 years and I’ll keep doing so.”

Looking ahead to the upcoming fixture, it is widely expected that Ceballos will once again be left out of the squad. 

Notably, this situation marks another low point in his Real Madrid career that has never fully taken off, despite moments of promise.

Ceballos has also added fuel to the speculation through his recent activity on social media. 

The midfielder shared a post from training accompanied by a song titled “Cerrando capítulo” by Noriel, which translates to “closing chapter.”

“I don’t forgive (…) because if you forgive too much, they get used to letting you down. (…) Life has taught me not to share with the envious. I’m human and I’ve made more than one mistake,” are the lyrics of the song.

The message appeared symbolic, suggesting that the player may be reflecting on his current situation and possibly preparing for a change.
